Being part of a ductwork manufacturing group we have vast knowledge of ventilation ductwork systems, from a stockist and distributor and thousands of ventilation products, to our engineers installing/rectifying literally thousands of dampers over the years

Fire Damper Testing
Identify
First we need to discover how many fire dampers the property has and where they are. In buildings with internal fire resistant walls and mechanical ventilation systems i.e. hotels, hospitals, schools, care homes, offices – there will be many fire dampers with at least one per room. These will be scheduled for testing as BS:9999 2017 making a note of any access restrictions
Test
Once any access issues have been resolved our engineers will test the damper recording it’s performance. In the event a damper fails our engineer will endeavour to try and remedy the problem and retest. If a damper fails and cannot be remedied on site it will be recorded as failed and offer a number of options to repair/replace
Repair / Replace
Dampers can fail for a number of reasons, from a faulty actuator to a broken fusible link. Our engineers are well versed in all aspects of damper installations and can arrange for the damper to be removed, replaced along with any fire stopping that may be required
